L’Anonyme : Automate your administrative tasks with a low-code/no-code application.

Nonprofit organizations (NPOs) like L’Anonyme juggle multiple funding sources. As such, accountability is a critical task. But it’s also an extremely time-consuming activity for teams, reducing their availability and impact on clients.

To address this challenge, L’Anonyme took an innovative approach and automated most of its administrative activities with a PowerApps solution. This strategic decision allowed the organization to gain time, increase efficiency, and focus more energy on its core mission.

L’Anonyme aims to promote safe behaviors and egalitarian relationships and to prevent the transmission of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs). The concept is based on a humanistic approach that is characterized by active listening and that emphasizes respect for the pace of the people to whom it is addressed.

In order to achieve this, more than 700 workshops are organized each year to raise awareness among participants on how to reduce risky behaviors and strengthen protective factors.

Business goals

L’Anonyme approached Nexus to develop a solution, within a limited time and budget, to address the following business needs:

  • Demonstrate the impact of their funding in a clear and quantifiable manner to improve partner tracking and relationships;
  • Save time and improve efficiency by automating repetitive actions;
  • Maximize employee impact and productivity;
  • Foster better communication within the organization and with stakeholders.

Proposed solution

To address L’Anonyme’s challenges, Nexus’ team developed a CRM-like solution using Model-Driven Apps from the Microsoft Power Apps platform.


Model-Driven Apps make it possible to use the low-code/no-code approach to develop an application faster and at lower cost, while providing a unified interface and responsive design across browsers and mobile devices.

More specifically, the developed solution consists of different modules:

  • Power App for workshop leaders;
  • PowerBi Dashboard for managers;
  • PowerBi Dashboard for program impact evaluation;
  • Automated evaluation questionnaires with Power Automate.

Our team really enjoyed working with the team at Nexus. Their creativity and ability to adapt to our specific constraints were essential in the deployment of our project. The team was able to identify our needs and offer us constant support in the face of the challenges we faced in developing our initiatives. The friendly exchanges have also helped strengthen the relationship between our organizations!

Adoption

A technology solution can have incredible potential, but it is only as effective as the people who use it. That’s why, at Nexus, we focus on maximizing the adoption of the solutions we develop.

Throughout the project, measures were planned and implemented to encourage adoption of the new application: 

  • Co-creating the solution with PowerUsers;
  • Creation of customized training content based on anticipated change management risks;
  • Ask me anything sessions with our Microsoft Dynamics expert;
  • Unique user training sessions for a total of 24 hours (preparation + workshop + documentation);
  • Q&A coaching for a total of 8 hours (4 x 2 hours);
  • Post project support.

Impact on the organization and its people

By improving the organization’s key processes, the implementation of the new solution has had a decisive impact on L’Anonyme. This technological investment has not only transformed the daily lives of the administrative team and 30 workshop leaders, but has also strengthened relationships with the partners that fund the organization.

  • Better follow-up with partners and the ability to clearly and quantitatively demonstrate the impact of their funding;
  • Better performance and faster completion of tasks;
