At Nexus Innovations, inclusion is not just a buzzword. It is a commitment that is lived, demonstrated, and renewed. That is why, for the past two years, we have been proud to participate in Techno au féminin, an event organized by Concertation Montréal (CMTL) and the Le code des filles movement, which brings together students, professionals, and tech companies mobilized around a common goal: to increase the presence of women in STEM and empower them to succeed.

💜 2024: Creating connections, inspiring the next generation

In 2024, Alicia Villeneuve and Florine Charlemagne were on site to meet with students passionate about technology.

Their mission: to demystify the reality of a software development company, talk about their experiences, and above all, create a space for authentic, human, and accessible exchange.

To take things even further, we offered two participants a personalized coaching session with Claudia Lépine, a valuable opportunity to address key topics at the start of a career:

  • choose an employer that aligns with your values;
  • take charge of your professional development;
  • learn to manage stress;
  • build self-confidence

An initiative that perfectly reflects how we support the next generation: close, genuine, and impact-driven.

💜 2025: Speaking up to make a difference

The following year, the experience was enriched. This time, two women from our team spoke with conviction:

  • Camille Gauthier, Power Platform specialist, recounted her own journey. A software development internship at Nexus turned into a thriving career. A concrete demonstration that you can be a woman, work in tech, and build a strong place for yourself there.
  • Sarah Dufresne, talent acquisition expert, shared a striking reality: women are still too often hesitant to apply when they don’t meet all the criteria for a position.

She drew a striking parallel with a 2023 American study: out of 20,000 participants, 50% of men believe they could land a plane in an emergency, compared to only 20% of women. A reminder that confidence is not just a question of skills – it’s also a question of perception.

To turn this discussion into action, Sarah offered three personalized coaching sessions dedicated to three women:

interview preparation, resume analysis, LinkedIn profile optimization… In short, everything they needed to walk away with concrete tools to aim higher.

💜 Speak up to make a difference

Whether in 2024 or 2025, our presence at Techno au féminin is based on a simple belief:

diversity drives technology forward – and confidence drives diversity forward.

Every conversation, every workshop, every coaching session reminds us that the future of tech is built on being:

  • more accessible,
  • more human,
  • more representative,
  • and above all, more daring.

Thanks to Concertation Montréal (CMTL), Le code des filles, Kadidia Haïdara, and all the participants for these inspiring moments that motivate us to do even more.

Let us be part of your transformation.
