MicroBrasserie Charlevoix is above all a story of passion and regional roots. For more than 25 years, this Baie-Saint-Paul-based company has been promoting Quebec expertise through its craft beers, which are distributed throughout Quebec and far beyond. Behind each brew is a close-knit team that is curious and resolutely focused on innovation.

Their restaurant, Le Saint-Pub, has become a popular gathering place for foodies and lovers of the region.

Business objectives

With steady growth and increasingly complex operations, MicroBrasserie Charlevoix needed to upgrade its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The old tool, IndustriOS ERP, was reaching its limits, particularly in terms of planning, production, and sales management.

The objective:

Management team, already familiar with the Microsoft ecosystem (Teams, Outlook, Power BI), wanted a scalable, connected solution.

Proposed solution

Nexus Innovations assisted Microbrasserie Charlevoix in implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, integrating several modules and external connectors to meet the customer’s specific needs. The solution made it possible to:

Impact on the organization

The deployment of the solution has transformed the team’s daily routine. Bank reconciliations, once a source of stress, can now be completed in just a few clicks. Inventories are faster, and visibility into financial and operational data has improved significantly. Users, who were sometimes reluctant to change, quickly adopted the tool, appreciating its simplicity and integration with their familiar Microsoft environment.

Sylvain, the CEO, even got involved in connecting Power BI dashboards, creating his own analyses to manage the company with even greater precision.

At MicroBrasserie Charlevoix, we believe that the future belongs to those who know how to combine tradition and innovation. With Business Central, we are entering a world where data is becoming as essential an ingredient as malt, a lever for inventing the microbrewery of tomorrow.

Adoption of the solution

At Nexus, we believe that technology is first and foremost a human endeavor.

For MicroBrasserie Charlevoix, we opted for a step-by-step approach: configuration, training, and ongoing validation.

Our Business Central specialist, Ludovic Lannurien, even traveled to the site for the launch, which is often a stressful time, but here was transformed into a friendly (and, we admit, somewhat festive) crisis unit.

After three days of intensive work on site, we agreed to go out for burgers together if the launch went well, which we did to celebrate the project’s success.

Are we cheesy? Maybe a little.

But when you deliver such a well-crafted project, you have every right to be proud (even if Ludovic forgot to take a photo of the burger, too eager to devour it).
